General Information of USU Library
The term USU stands for Utah State University, and one of the most common terms to define the Merrill-Cazier Library. It is an academic library that was first opened in September 2005 and from then it serves the students of Utah State University and the community of Logan, Utah.
The USU library has both a physical and digital destination from where students not only can get an engaging environment for learning but also get an enormous amount of data to read on. History of USU Library
The Merrill Library was built by the Whitmeyer Company of Ogden, Utah in 1930, and enlarged in 1967. A second library, the Cazier Science and Technology Library, was added to the campus in 1995.
Both the building united the “USU Library” and “Cazier Science and Technology Library” with an expansion library area of 189k sq.ft. for study rooms.
The Merrill-Cazier Library is named after Milton R. Merrill who was former Utah State University vice president, and Stanford Cazier, former Utah State University president.
