Make sure the Bitmoji keyboard is turned on. Follow the steps to properly set up the Bitmoji keyboard with your android keyboard.

  1. Open the Playstore and download the Bitmoji app.
  2. Lauch the app and click on Bitmoji app.
  3. Click on “Create Avatar.
  4. Enter your date of birth and click the Continue button.
  5. Enter your email id.
  6. Set a strong password of at least 6 characters.
  7. Choose your Avatar and create your Bitmoji.
  8. Click on the “Turn on Keyboard.
  9. Click on the “Enable in Setting.”
  10. A list of keyboards will appear.
  11. Turn on the Bitmoji keyboard by tapping the “On” button.
  12. In the pop-up window, click on the Continue button.
  13. Click on the Switch keyboard option.
  14. Choose the input method to be “Bitmoji keyboard”.
  15. You can now use Bitmoji in your chatting apps.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Choose Additional settings.
  3. Choose Languages & Input.
  4. Click on the Current Keyboard section.
  5. Click on the Manage Keyboard section.
  6. Make sure the Bitmoji keyboard is turned on.

Note: If the Current Keyboard option says “English (US) – Bitmoji Keyboard”. It means the Bitmoji keyboard is the default keyboard. If it doesn’t, switch to the Bitmoji keyboard by tapping it.

Every user that creates their first account on Bitmoji needs to verify their email id. I also forgot to verify that. In the email by Bitmoji, it says, you have a verification email link to activate the account within four days of installing the app.

So, make sure you activate the Bitmoji account by following the steps:

  1. Create your account using your email id.
  2. Open the email id inbox.
  3. Bitmoji sends you the verification mail within 5 minutes of creating an account.
  4. If you’re an older user, search for Bitmoji in the search tab, and then check whether you received an email or not.
  5. You can re-request the verification mail by profile option in your Bitmoji app.

  2. On the app’s detail page, select Clear data.
  3. Click Clear cache.
  4. Click on OK.
  5. Re-sign in with your Bitmoji account details.
  6. Follow the above steps (Fix 2) to step up the Bitmoji keyboard as the default.
